Your meddling sisters have finally tracked down the “perfect” man for you and have arranged a blind date. Or you may find yourself entering the dating scene again after several years or absence. Or you believe that you are the newest and youngest goddess in the world of single women who are trying to find true love. Whatever led you to this first date, you will have the same urgent, yet age-old problems: what to wear and how to fix your hair!

The date location sets the tone for your personality
Surprisingly, the greater part of these two problems can be immediately solved once you admit to yourself that you are a huntress. As a huntress, your prey is your date. But with the restrictions of civilized society, you need to sheath your claws and hide your more primal inclinations. Instead of dragging your man into your cave, you need to entice him with your purr-sonality. But which of these personalities is most appropriate during that first date? It all depends on when and where you will have your date.

If your first date is at a party or a casual dinner during a weekday, the appropriate personality is “I might be powerful at work, but I love to play.” After all, you will be rushing to your rendezvous the minute after clocking out from the office. You have the foresight to wear clothes that are not only suitable at work, but will also become spectacular during the first date. You can also think fast on your feet, snapping on those fashionable earrings and using the bejeweled hairpiece to add glamour to your hair, which is perhaps swept up in a French twist. You are the quintessential girl next door, but you should forget the ponytail. You should let your hair flow freely and seductively. You can style your hair in various ways, but the key is to make it look natural. Your hairstyle should not appear stiff or that you have spent three hours at the salon.

Concert or sporting event? No outfit or hairstyle will do
And finally, if your first date is during a concert of the hottest alternative rock band or the finals of a basketball game, the appropriate personality should be “invisible and goodbye.” That’s right, cancel that date. A wise huntress should never allow first dates to be in these noisy circumstances. The first date is, after all, a crucial segment of the “getting to know” stage.
